CONTEST: STUDENTRESESYMBOLEN
Svensk kollektivtrafik asked swedish students o join in a unique design competition. The brief was simple; they wanted it to be easier for employees on trains and busses to verify the students discount eligibility. At the same time they wanted simplicity and continuity in their discount program. Keywords for this competition was: public transport in the whole contry regardless of the choise of transportation, eligibility of student discount, sustainability and simplicity.
idea.
Trying to find something in common with this three forms of transportations was in the end the square form and the two lights. Further in the process I wanted to add something about traveling publicly and I worked with the bus- and train-stops.
In the end I realized that the stops also made another symbolism as the stops on the sides of the symbol could be interpreted in the mirrors on the bus.
